At our last general meeting we had many quilts shown that were sewn for several of the charities we donate to. One was a stellar red, white and blue quilt for Quilts of Valor Foundation. These quilts are awarded only to service members and living veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces.
Others were more whimsical baby quilts for Kapiolani Women’s and Children’s Medical Center. The quilts are given to babies from families in need and others are used to cover the incubators in the neonatal ICU (quilts are then given to the families when the babies go home). The comment heard from many of the quilters were that we could find lots of cute “girly” fabric, but less fabric more for “boys”. So presented here are two quilts made especially for those that are sports minded.
